Tom aka Gangle's desire to play the guitar started
very early for him, most likely due to the ever present influence
of Bon Jovi and Eric Clapton. He was unable to explore this
aspect of his dreams until the late age of thirteen when he
began learning on a fender squire.

In the ten years since, he has played in numerous bands the
most prominent two being Ashes of Souls and Altrum. Now
enthused by bands such as Guns N Roses, Metallica, Dream
Theater, Social Distortion, Muse, Linkin Park and Tool; his simple
ideal is that every guitarist can always be better, and those
who think they can’t needn’t bother trying. On this basis he
constantly tries to branch further into both the technical and
emotional sides of music, picking up as much as he can along
the way.

His style of playing varies depending on his mood, veering from
heavy riff based experiments in left handed consistency to
melodic instrumental epics, with a hearty helping of
unconventional playing methods (including using a violin bow,
beating it like a drum and playing it like a bass). Much of his
time is also spent writing, the subject of which is currently his
first novel: Winter 32 Pre Emp - a bizarre look into how our
names can affect what we do in life. His writing desire goes
beyond books and into his music, where he writes many of the
bands songs, taking advantage of the experimental mist that
exists between the members to write songs more creative than
anything he’s written before.
